Abstract

Technological advances have reshaped consumer behavior and transformed how companies connect with their customers. The hotel industry has traditionally been delayed in the adoption of new technological developments. However, the growing demand for customers for digital interactions has aroused the adoption of technology to improve customer experience and meet the evolution of their needs and their desires. This work offers a preliminary overview of future guidelines in the tourism sector. We try to suggest potential orientations based on current theoretical points of view and to serve as a catalyst for additional discussions within tourism research.
